A Short Seamanship Shorebased Course for Beginners.
The duration is 16 hours, over a period of two days. (Not an RYA course.)
The intention is to give an insight into the various subjects below, with a view to, if enjoyed, completing the
                                Dayskipper Shorebased Course
in due time, Or even doing the
                             Competent Crew Practical Course,
of which the content of this theory course would be ideal, and would give an insight into what one may expect on board a sailing school vessel.
                                 Subjects covered: -

Knots and mooring, tying up. Boat steering and handling. Basic Seamanship. Weather forecasts.	Types of vessel sail and power. Basic Chartwork. Etiquette on board. Rules of the road!
A start sailing course for beginners. Dinghies, Yachts, Powerboats, Cruisers.
