About your Instructor.
Like most sailors he started sailing dinghies. Having got the ‘bug’ graduated into sailing cruisers. The racing side then took hold and competed in two Admirals Cups. At the same time working for the Royal Ocean Racing Club as a Measurer of handicaps and invigilation for International events. The desire to pass on and teach the practical sailing skills learnt became paramount. He purchased the Bosham Cruising School, Chichester Windsurfing, and Sowester Yachting, combining them into the Chichester Sailing Centre at Chichester Marina in which as a proprietor and Senior Instructor the School taught 52 sailing disciplines, for over 10 years. During this period sailed the Atlantic Ocean twice. He then went on to collect and deliver numerous vessels from yachts, motor cruisers and small 3,000-ton ship, to and from; the Scandinavia, Baltic, Mediterranean, and round Britain and Ireland. Numerous solo passages across the English Channel, and to Madeira and the Azores. About 150,000 sea miles sailed.
